Arlington Conservation considers its relationship with its clients
to be of paramount importance to its business. The involvement
of the client is an important and integral part of many projects
and clients are actively encouraged to visit the studio to discuss
the direction and progress of conservation.
We are available to advise clients on issues of condition and
authenticity on furniture coming up for auction and view all of
the major furniture sales in London and New York.
We offer a service called Arlington Collection Care for clients who wish us to assess their furniture collections and to maintain them. We believe that our highly experienced in-house team, supported by specialist out-workers, is ideally placed to help you take good care of your furniture now and to preserve it for the generations to come.
We can provide an expert assessment of the condition of your furniture, wherever you are in the world. We will examine your collection and submit detailed reports, highlighting any potential problems and making recommendations for conservation where necessary, together with estimated costs. A schedule of conservation can be tailored to suit each individual client, from emergency work only, such as the treatment of woodworm infestation, to a comprehensive programme.
We can arrange for our craftsmen to carry out maintenance in situ on your furniture (work such as re-gluing loose veneers and attending to damaged finished surfaces) or for your furniture to be transferred to our climate-controlled studio in London for more in-depth conservation work.
Arlington Conservation is proud of its reputation for discretion
and confidentiality which is recognised by both private and trade
clients as well as institutions worldwide.
